Meet Robyn: ASP&E Ambassador

Year at MSU: 4th year Senior (Hopefully)
Area of Study: Media and Information with minors in Music and Chinese

What are you watching/reading right now?
Watching Riverdale as my show and recently read Carry On by Rainbow Rowell MUST READ IF YOU EVER WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE REALLY LOOKS LIKE.

Where did you study abroad? Where have you traveled?
Last summer I studied abroad in Shanghai for 10 weeks doing an internship program through MSU. I’ve also been to France and  the Caribbean.

What’s a favorite memory you have from traveling?
A few days before the end of my trip in China, I took a trip by myself to DisneyLand. It was the most fun I’ve ever had, I spent all day in the part doing whatever I wanted. Disney’s like my Mecca so, definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer, in Michigan?
Driving with my friends down the road as the sun is setting with the radio blasting Kpop  and preferably ice cream in our hands.

Why did you choose MSU for your studies?
Funny thing is, I originally chose it for its stellar music education program. But once I got here I realized that wasn’t quite for me. So I settled with a minor in music and found the media and info major. Now I’m studying TV and Film production and I’ve fallen in love. And I haven’t looked back!

What was something about MSU that surprised you?
How big the lectures could get, the amount of school spirit on game days, and how quickly it felt like home.

Where do you hope to travel to next?
Taiwan!! Then Japan, I love Japan. Ugh, South Korea should go before Japan though. And of course back to Paris, then might as well go to Italy. Greece, BRAZIL. Australia. Whichever out of those that has the cheapest flight will be first.

Typically, do you over-pack or under-pack on a trip?
I always pack the perfect amount somehow. But if I had to choose, I’ll say I under-pack. I hate carrying around too much stuff!
